We built the Service to handle as little of your data as possible, and to only process the text you deliberately choose to translate.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details. For Pro subscriptions, billing is handled by our payment processor; we receive limited records such as your plan, billing status, and the last four digits of your card, but we do not store full card numbers.
• Text you choose to translate. When you select text and trigger a translation, that text is sent to the Service so it can be translated. We do not read, monitor, or collect the content of pages you have not explicitly selected for translation.
• Your Professional Profile and Meaning Rules. Information you provide about your profession and any custom terminology or rules you configure, so translations match your field.
• Usage and technical data. Limited diagnostic and usage information such as feature usage, language pairs, browser type, and error logs, used to operate and improve the Service.

This Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for context.io. It applies to paid context.io Pro subscriptions. The Free plan is always free and never charged.

1. Free plan

The Free plan does not require payment, so no refunds apply. You can use it for as long as you like within its limits.

2. Pro subscriptions

context.io Pro is billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or, if offered, annually) at the price shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

3. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with context.io Pro, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, provided you have used fewer than 50 translations on your Pro plan. We will refund that initial charge, no complicated questions asked. To request it, email support@con-text.io from the address on your account. Requests made after 50 or more Pro translations fall outside this guarantee, since the Service has been used substantially.

4. Renewals

Renewal charges (the second and subsequent billing periods) are generally non-refundable, because you can cancel at any time before a renewal to avoid being charged. If you were charged for a renewal you intended to cancel, contact us within 7 days of that charge and we will review the request in good faith.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@con-text.io. When you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. We do not pro-rate partial periods unless a refund is granted under this policy or required by law.

6. How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment processor. It may take several business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

7. Exceptions

• Charges older than the windows described above.
